Currently on travel and I stopped in a little store and saw a lot of wines that I've seen plenty of times, but I said why not. So, I picked up a bottle of the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon by 19 Crimes.
First, if you haven’t seen some of 19 Crimes post on Instagram, you gotta check them out. I think they’re pretty cool. But you didn’t come here to hear about their posts on social media. So lets talk wine.
So right out of the bottle it gives off an aroma that says, I’m a Cab. It smells smooth and there is no alcohol smell at all which I think is pretty impressive given that it’s a 2015. As it hit your tongue it’s pretty smooth and you can tell right off that it’s a medium body wine. As it passes it maintains it’s smoothness almost to the end. Once it hits the back of your throat there is a little bite that jumps out at you. But nothing that’s a turnoff. Let it sit for half an hour and I’m pretty sure it would go away.
If you’re a fan of Cabs, this is a good one. Drink it at a party or just when at home watching tv.
